O Little Town of Bethlehem

I seem to struggle to create enough cards with a more traditional feel to them.  I decided it was about time that I pulled out a traditional Christmas image and worked with it.

Doodle Pantry - Christmas

D├ęcosse's Dynamite Doodles - Christmas Link-up for July

I have used a striped paper from Kaisercraft for the background.  I like the rustic worn look to this pattern.  The image is from Doodle Pantry and coloured with copic markers E08, E04, B000, Y000, E18, E15, YG09, YG06, RV14, E53. I also added a star cut from a Memory Box Die.  The gold ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment has been typed on the computer (not sure which font I used).

Summer Vacation at the Beach

Even though I work with teaching children to swim, I still enjoy going to the beach when on vacation.  I don't think I'd wear a bikini though - I'd scare everyone else off the beach!!!

QKR Stampede - Vacation

I have used a background paper with a timber effect from Kaisercraft.  I thought of wooden beach huts when I saw this paper.  I added some spotted paper and also some dots around the image and sentiment to carry through the polka dots in the image.  The image is from QKR Stampede and has been coloured with copic markers YG06, YG03, RV14, BG000.  I added the dots with Distress Marker - Worn Lipstick.  The sentiment is from Netty's Cards.

Goofin' Around

I'm never that enthusiastic making shaped cards but decided to have an attempt at making a round one.  I left one edge with a bit of straightness so that the card can open (couldn't figure out how to create a round opening card!)

I used some scrapbooking paper that I have had for ages to cover the circular card.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and has been coloured with copic markers R14, E49, E47, E18, E15 plus Stickles - Crystal.  I also added an organza ribbon with holly leaves on it.

Sunny and Bright Netherlands Girl

I have used three papers from a paper pad by Sugar and Spice.  I have worked with an orange, red and yellow colour scheme.  I matted with yellow cardstock to give a bit more definition to each layer.  I added some orange twine to two of the layers.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and is coloured with copic markers E00, R35, R32, YR07, YR04, Y06, Y02.  I have also added some flower embellishments.

Study Owl

This wise owl is getting his study done for the upcoming exams!  This card will add to my pile of Thank You cards for the teachers at year end.

Blue Christmas Tree

I seem to love creating Christmas cards with a blue colour scheme - although I did add some yellow to this one!
